What is F.A.T.
Frazier's Athletic Training (F.A.T.) is a nonprofit that is recognized by the IRS with 501 (c) 3 status. F.A.T. was created to give under-resourced youth in the community a safe space to engage in an active lifestyle while using athletics to develop great social skills and lasting character traits (such as self- accountability, discipline, respect and so many more) that will help being able to navigate when facing life's toughest challenges. This program encourages students to push themselves to their individual limitations to become a more well-rounded person and athlete.
How was F.A.T. created?
Throughout my professional basketball and coaching career, I was fortunate to be able to bring my wife and kids with me where ever I have played. Because of this our children naturally gravitated to basketball. As the got older, they kept that desire of playing and the love for being around the game. Seeing the joy that they have for the game encouraged me to create an organization that specializes in encouraging youth to stay active, follow directions, respect themselves and others while enjoying sports. This is how F.A.T. was created.
Why was F.A.T. founded?
F.A.T. was founded to proved quality skill development, mentorship and leadership to under resourced youth in the community. We saw that the lack of financial support and resources in a underserved community directly impacts a child's perspective of life and the obstacles that may be presented.
F.A.T. is currently serving under resourced youth ranging from ages 6-14 located in the following North Carolina counties: Durham County, Wake County, Orange County, and Johnston County. We are always excited to expand and reach youth in other counties.
